Son (8 yrs.): What is tofu?

Me: It’s a food people eat instead of meat, why?

Son: I always thought it was food made from toes.

I was a good mom and corrected him.. BUT if I’d had more presence of mind through the laughter I could have let him go on thinking that and had a pretty fun surprise meal waiting for him later…. 😂
