When we decided to update my son’s bedroom for his eighth birthday, I had the brilliant idea of incorporating a chalk wall. I felt it would be a great place to leave scripture for him to see and read every day, and perhaps encourage him to read a little on his own as well. It took a pricey mistake and learning the difference between chalk paint and chalkboard paint, but he finally has his wall! 😂
As I was reading last month I found this scripture, and how fitting to find it in the Thanksgiving season! It’s been a great verse for him (and his wall!)

I wish endless blessings for each of you this season and always! Enjoy this time as an opportunity to set aside your normal day-to-day tasks and open your eyes fully to the blessings God has given you in abundance. And I, of course, will continue to be thankful for all of you!
“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”
Psalms 28:7 NLT
